"Go Live" in Three Working Days
Final preparations continue for the transition to an electronic record. Another test conversion was completed last week, and court staff are finishing additional training. Specific times are now set for transition of court computer systems from ICMS (the current docket management system) to the CM/ECF System. Icons related to the old system will be removed from computer desktops late Friday and the high speed scanners in the intake area will be sequentially rolled over to route to CM/ECF. All
internal court training material is being posted to the court's intranet to be accessible to all court staff.
Final notices of the transition are being sent to all mail, fax and email notice recipients. Starting Monday My 2nd, notice from the court will be a
Notice of Electronic Filing (NEF) linking to court documents rather than an e-mail enclosing court document. NEFs will be sent for minute entries, which have not previously been sent to e-notice recipients. NEFs will also be sent for documents filed by counsel in paper form, after the documents are docketed by the court.
A NEF sent after a paper filing is not Rule 5 service. NEFs generated by an attorney's electronic filing are Rule 5 service. For more information, see
What is a NEF?Attorney filing is expected to begin in Criminal cases in the early summer. Civil case filing will follow thereafter.
